Limestone

1.Introduction of limestone:

Calcium carbonate is the main composition of limestone, main raw material in glass making. A large number of lime and limestone are used as building materials, and they are also key raw materials in certain industries. Calcium carbonate can be processed into stones directly or burned in quicklime.

2.Applications of limestone:

In modern industries, limestone is the core raw material for cement production, lime and calcium carbide. It is also a kind of essential flux in metallurgy. High-quality limestone is widely used in papermaking, rubber, paint, coating, medicine, cosmetics,, forage, seal and polishing after ultra fine grinding. According to incomplete statistics, the amount of limestone used in building stone is two times larger than the sum total of the limestone consumed in building stone, lime production and metallurgical flux. Limestone is a kind of non-renewable resource whose application fields will be broadened with the development of science and nano technology.

3.Limestone Processing

It mainly includes limestone crushing and grinding

The Crushing Process:

Jaw crushers and impact crushers/finely machines are used in primary and secondary crushing respectively. The equipment used in this whole process are jaw crusher,impact crusher tertiary crusher, vibrating feeder, vibrating screen and belt conveyor.

The Grinding Process:

Firstly the materials are transported into the hopper by the bucket elevator after they reach the required fineness and then are delivered into the grinding chamber by the feeder.

Afterwards, the materials enter the powder selecting machine after they are analyzed by the analytical engine.

Finally the finished product comes into being. The air entering from the mill needs to be disposed by the dust collector when it comes out.

For the whole process, the equipment that are used are crushers, bucket elevator, the grinding mill(which includes the body of the mill, analytical engine, the decelerator, and the blast blower), the pipes, the hopper, the feeder and the dust collector. The complete set of equipment manufactured by Fote have high efficiency when disposing limestone, especially the high pressure grinder, which inherits the merits of Raymond mill such as high ratio of getting through the screen mesh.
